Grant Burge Summers Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
Description
Grant Burge Summers Adelaide Hills Chardonnay — South Australia, 13.5% ABV. South Australia's premium cool-climate subregion, producing a more restrained and structured Chardonnay than the warmer Barossa floor. Pours gold with aromas of melon, white peach, nectarine, and a bright note of Granny Smith apple. On the palate it is creamy and well-structured, with natural acidity keeping the finish long and fresh rather than heavy. Partial oak adds texture without overwhelming the fruit.
On-trade positioning: The Summers Chardonnay is the provenance upgrade from Classic Collection — and the Adelaide Hills story is an easy sell on any wine list. A cooler-climate, higher-acid Chardonnay that suits guests who find warmer-region Chardonnay too heavy; the crisp apple and citrus character handles a wide range of food styles. Pairs with poultry, seafood, cream sauces, soft cheeses, and light Asian dishes. Use as the mid-tier house white anchor for venues that want genuine regional specificity without committing to a French Burgundy.
