Grant Burge Nebu Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz — Barossa Valley, South Australia, 14.5% ABV. A wine of serious intent drawn from the Barossa's oldest and most distinguished parcels. The nose builds from a dark-fruit core of plum and blackberries, layered with chocolate, vanilla and warm baking spice. On the palate, ripe red and dark berries carry through a plush mid-palate underpinned by French oak and a fine-tannin architecture that speaks to genuine long-cellaring capacity. Complex, generous and rewarding at release; extraordinary with age.
