Château du Bousquet Côtes de Bourg
Description
Château du Bousquet Côtes de Bourg — Bordeaux, 14% ABV. Vintage 2022. A right-bank Bordeaux estate wine from the Tholin et Couturier vineyard — predominantly Merlot balanced by Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 12 months in oak barrels (40% new). Deep ruby; a generous, expressive nose of plum, blueberry and dark red berries, followed by hints of vanilla and dark chocolate from the oak integration. On the palate the wine is structured and full-bodied with fine-grained tannins and an elegant, persistent finish. Classic Bordeaux character with genuine ageing potential of 5–8 years. Pairs with grilled red meats, duck and aged cheeses.
On-trade positioning: A premium Bordeaux pour that over-delivers for its price bracket — offering Côtes de Bourg appellation credibility and genuine estate provenance without the cost of Pomerol or Saint-Émilion. Suitable for French restaurants, steak specialists and wine bars in Singapore that want a credible right-bank bottle-list entry. Ageing potential makes it a candidate for by-the-bottle sales to guests building small private collections. Position above Baron de Lestac Rouge as a natural step-up option.
