Marqués de Casa Concha Heritage
Description
Marqués de Casa Concha Heritage — Maipo and Cachapoal, Chile, 14.6% ABV. Drawing on selected blocks from Maipo and Cachapoal — two of Chile's most celebrated Cabernet terroirs. Extended aging in French oak builds depth and structure: the nose shows cassis, dark plum, cedar and graphite, with tobacco and subtle dried herb. On the palate, firm yet polished tannins frame concentrated dark fruit, a savoury mid-palate and a long, oak-integrated finish. Classic Cabernet architecture with clear Chilean terroir identity.
On-trade positioning: Marqués de Casa Concha occupies the premium tier within the Concha y Toro portfolio — a meaningful step above the widely distributed Casillero del Diablo range and a credible by-the-glass upgrade for venues already ranging Casillero. The Heritage expression, sourced from named Maipo and Cachapoal blocks, carries the terroir specificity to justify premium-by-the-glass or premium-by-the-bottle pricing. For venues building a Chilean programme, it is the mid-premium anchor point: Casillero del Diablo below for volume, Marqués de Casa Concha for premium, and Amelia above for icon occasions. Pairs confidently with red meat, slow-braised lamb, aged cheese boards, and umami-rich Asian dishes.
