Hardys Tintara Core GSM
Description
Hardys Tintara Core GSM — McLaren Vale, South Australia, 14.5% ABV. Aromatic, layered Grenache-Shiraz-Mourvèdre. The nose opens with intense fresh raspberries, red cherries and rose petals, moving through a musky floral mid-note and hints of allspice and cinnamon. The palate builds on dark berry and ripe plum, adding milk chocolate richness, earthy depth and warm spice, underpinned by plush tannins and a long, savoury finish.
On-trade positioning: GSM blends are increasingly sought by sommeliers for texture and complexity at mid-premium price points. The Tintara GSM's aromatic, distinctly floral profile differentiates it from the Shiraz and Cabernet on the same list — making the three a natural estate flight for by-the-glass programmes. Particularly effective on menus centred around Mediterranean cuisine, slow-roasted meats or spiced dishes. Position as the third pillar of a coherent McLaren Vale estate set alongside the Tintara Shiraz and Cabernet.
